A chemical factory in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, is to close with the loss of 163 jobs.
The US-owned Flexsys Rubber Chemicals blamed competition from the Far East for the reason for the closure.

The chairman of the Police Federation has said that the home secretary, Jacqui Smith, has betrayed the police by refusing to backdate a 2.5% pay rise.
Jan Berry said that the decision, which affects England, Wales and Northern Ireland, was a huge mistake.
Smith said her decision had been taken only after alot of thought.
