Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has said that restaurants should be fined if they serve food which is out of season. He said that fruit and vegetables should be locally sourced and only on the menu whilst they are in season. This would lead to a reduction in carbon emissions, as food would not need to be imported.
Ramsay says he plans to get the nation back into the kitchen, cooking healthy foods. He went on to say that the obesity problem in the UK could rival that of the USA, as he said that parents did not like to say no to their children.
