Culture Minister Margaret Hodge has attacked the Proms concerts, saying that they are “culturally narrow” and do not unite all Britons.

A convicted robber was given a job as a carer in a Bradford care home. Whilst employed at the Fairmount Gardens Residential Home in Heaton, Waheed Qayum stole more than £20,000 from two of the home’s residents.
