The government has admitted that two thirds of immigrants to the UK are not from the EU.

The Mayor of Calais is planning to build an immigration centre which will become the “new Sangatte”.
The centre would become a magnet for those intending to reach Britain.
Work was started last year but suspended during the French presidential elections. Sarkozy said that there would be no new Sangatte whilst he was President.
